Changes to this message: Returning to user operation
Update on status:

The NAS maintenance has been successfully concluded; however returning
the HPC cluster systems to user operation is a bit delayed: The MPP,
Myrinet, ICE and serial cluster segments are available again, but the
UV systems are still in maintenance. Also, the visualization systems
GVS3 and GVS4 are not yet in operation.

For the status of SuperMIG please see the separate notification.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear users of SuperMIG as well as the Cluster systems,

in its ongoing effort to increase the storage capacity and performance
on its HPC systems (and especially the new Petascale system that is
being prepared for user operation), LRZ has taken new NAS systems into
operation. Presently, LRZ is transferring the data on all HOME
 directories to the new system.

In order to take the final step in switching over regular operations,
an interruption of services on all HPC systems is necessary. Therefore,
on June 18 between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm no user operation will be
possible on the Linux Cluster as well as the SuperMIG migration system.
Since a reboot of all systems is needed, running jobs will be removed
 and may require a resubmission.
