<p class="MsoNormal">Ab sofort steht LRZ-Nutzern der neue Service „LRZ Compute Cloud“ zur Verfügung.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Der Dienst wird als „Infrastructure-as-a-Service“ auf Basis der Open-Source-Lösung OpenNebula angeboten. Er ermöglicht Wissenschaftlern, ihre Rechenressourcen flexibel, einfach und schnell etwaigen Spitzenlasten anzupassen. Über eine intuitive
Self-Service-Benutzeroberfläche können Nutzer ihre virtuelle Maschine mit der bevorzugten oder benötigten Systemsoftware selbst konfigurieren. Sogar die mittlerweile in einigen Forschungsgebieten üblichen fertig einsetzbaren Images einschließlich Betriebssystem
und Anwendungssoftware lassen sich in der LRZ Compute Cloud einfach installieren und sofort verwenden.<o:p></o:p></p>
