Grundlage dafür bilden die mit den betreffenden Firmen abgeschlossenen Verträge mit Gültigkeit teils weit über das LRZ hinaus. Berechtigte Einrichtungen und Personen können direkt oder über das LRZ aus einem breiten Angebot sowohl Software als auch die dazu gehörenden Lizenzen beziehen.
