<p class="MsoPlainText"><span lang="EN-US">This special lecture will be devoted to the Intel Xeon Scalable (codenamed Skylake) processor that powers the brand new LRZ supercomputer: SuperMUC-NG.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span lang="EN-US">The presentation will cover details about the Skylake core microarchitecture and the Xeon uncore design. Additionally, the talk will provide details about the SuperMUC-NG compute node design and the fabric system architecture.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText"><b>Biography</b>:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span lang="EN-US">Andrey Semin is a Principal Engineer at Intel in EMEA. He supports the leading European high-performance computing users, helping them to deploy new and innovative HPC solutions to grand-challenge problems. Andrey
has been instrumental in developing HPC industry innovations delivering improvements in the energy efficiency from data center to applications. Andrey graduated from Moscow State University, specializing in possibility theory and its applications for physical
experiment analysis. He is the author of over a dozen papers and patents in the area of application tuning and energy efficiency analysis, and recently Andrey co-authored a book „Optimizing HPC Applications with Intel Cluster Tools“. In 2018 Andrey was honored
with an Intel Achievement Award - the highest award given to an individual by Intel.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
