Two workshops on Open Access for LMU members only:

  1.  Funding of publication fees via the LMU Open Access Fund: Wednesday 1 June, 16:00

In this online event, you will learn more about the possibility of publication fee (APC) support through the LMU Open Access Fund. The requirements for funding and the application tool will be presented.

  1.  Open Access Workshop: Wednesday 8 June, 15:00

The Open Science Initiative Psychology (OSIP), in collaboration with the LMU Open Science Center, offers a practice-oriented workshop for scientists at all career levels on the topic of "Open Access" (speakers: Prof. Dr. Felix Schönbrodt and Maximilian Frank).
We explain the different types of Open Access and their advantages and show what different ways there are to make your own publications freely accessible.
We also go into the business models of scientific publishers and take a critical look at their increasing activities as data analysis companies.

The hybrid event will take place on Wednesday, June 8th 2022, 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (CEST) in room 3322 in Leopoldstraße 13, 80802 München and on Zoom.

The event will take place in German or in English depending on the composition of the audience.

Die Open Science Initiative Psychologie (OSIP) bietet gemeinsam mit dem LMU Open Science Center einen praxisorientierten Workshops für Wissenschaftler:innen jeder Karrierestufe zum Thema "Open Access“ an (Referenten: Prof. Dr. Felix Schönbrodt und Maximilian Frank).
Wir erklären die verschiedenen Varianten und Vorteile von Open Access und zeigen auf, welche verschieden Wege es gibt, eigene Publikationen frei zugänglich zu veröffentlichen.
Außerdem gehen wir auf die Geschäftsmodelle der Wissenschaftsverlage ein und werfen einen kritischen Blick auf deren zunehmenden Tätigkeiten als Datenanalyseunternehmen.

Die Veranstaltung findet Mittwoch, 8.6.2022, 15:00 - 16:00 (s.t.) im Raum 3322 im Leopoldstraße 13, 80802 München statt und wird auch hybrid per Zoom übertragen.

Die Veranstaltung findet je nach Zusammensetzung des Publikums in deutscher oder englischer Sprache statt.
