 control mechanisms that enable data sharing while protecting sensitive information. Further topics are the benefits of using persistent identifiers (PIDs) and their connection to the FAIR data principles. Finally, the workshop provides participants with best
 practices for preparing and publishing data and gives an overview of data repositories in the medical and biomedical field. Through interactive sessions and discussions, participants will deepen their knowledge to effectively manage, share, and publish their

 to data management plans, including their structure, advantages and possibilities. Through interactive exercises and expert guidance, the workshop will provide participants with the skills necessary to develop DMPs that ensure responsible and efficient data
 management throughout the research lifecycle. Also, an introduction and demonstration of the use of DMP tools will be provided, focussing on the DMP tool RDMO, which is well established in the German scientific community. This workshop empowers researchers
