1. Neuinstallation von eduroam notwendig

Das IT-Servicezentrum ruft alle TUM-Mitglieder dringend dazu auf, die Installation des WLANs eduroam (https://www.it.tum.de/eduroam/) auf ihren mobilen Geräten zu überprüfen. Eine manuelle Einrichtung von eduroam birgt große Sicherheitsrisiken, wie z.B. Passwortdiebstahl. Die sichere Installation von eduroam auf Smartphone, Tablet, usw. ist nur mit speziellen Konfigurationsprofilen möglich.
Bitte deinstallieren Sie eduroam im Zweifelsfall und installieren Sie es mit dem passenden Konfigurationsprofil des Leibniz-Rechenzentrums (LRZ) neu:

2. Apple stellt „Apple on Campus"-Programm ein

Apple stellt das Programm „Apple on Campus“ zum 16.05.2017 ein. Über das Programm konnten Studierende und Mitarbeitende der TUM Apple-Produkte zu günstigeren Bedingungen erwerben.

Damit ist der Zugang zu dem Angebot über die Webseiten des Leibniz-Rechenzentrums (LRZ) (https://www.lrz.de/services/firmenangebote/apple-campus/) ab dem 16. Mai nicht mehr möglich. Apple bietet jedoch über den Apple Store Bildung (https://www.apple.com/de-edu/shop) weiterhin günstigere Preise für Hochschulmitglieder an.

3. Gemeinsam online LaTeX-Texte erstellen mit „ShareLaTeX @ TUM“

Viele Studierende und Mitarbeitende nutzen LaTeX zum Erstellen wissenschaftlicher Texte und Publikationen. Sie können sich nun über einen neuen Service der TUM freuen: Mit dem Online-Editor „ShareLaTeX @ TUM“ kann man schnell und einfach gemeinsam an LaTeX-Dokumenten arbeiten.


-       Um ShareLaTeX @ TUM zu nutzen, melden Sie sich bitte mit Ihrer TUM-Kennung und Passwort an unter https://sharelatex.tum.de.

1.  Reinstallation of eduroam required

The  IT Service Center is encouraging all members of the university to check the installation of the eduroam WLAN service (https://www.it.tum.de/eduroam/) on their mobile devices. Manually installing eduroam harbors serious security risks such as password theft. Secure installation of eduroam on smartphones and tablets is possible only with a special configuration profile. When in doubt, deinstall eduroam and reinstall it with the correct configuration profile from the Leibniz Supercomputing Center (LRZ):

2. Apple terminates "Apple on Campus" program

Apple will terminate the "Apple on Campus" program effective May 16, 2017. With this program, TUM students and employees were able to acquire Apple products at favorable conditions.

That means access to the program will no longer be available via the LRZ website (https://www.lrz.de/services/firmenangebote/apple-campus/) as of May 16, 2017. Apple will continue to offer products for university students at more favorable prices via the Apple Store Bildung (Apple Store For Education): https://www.apple.com/de-edu/shop

3. Online LaTeX collaboration with "ShareLaTeX @ TUM"

The many TUM students and employees who use LaTeX to create scientific text and publications can now enjoy a new service offered by TUM. The "ShareLaTeX @ TUM" online editor allows you to quickly and easily work on LaTeX documents together.


-       To use ShareLaTeX @ TUM, log on with your TUM ID and password at https://sharelatex.tum.de.
