Microsoft 365

Wir freuen uns, mitteilen zu dürfen, dass ab sofort eine gültige
Dienstvereinbarung für den Betrieb von Microsoft 365 vorliegt. Sie finden
diese unter

Um Microsoft 365 nutzen zu können ist eine Aktivierung des Microsoft
Accounts in TUMonline notwendig. Sollten Sie noch keinen Account haben,
melden Sie sich bitte in TUMonline <https://campus.tum.de/>  an und wählen
"Microsoft 365 Account" direkt in Ihrer Visitenkarte. Dort können Sie Ihre
"@ tum.de <http://tum.de/>  " E-Mail Adresse als Microsoft 365 Account
aktivieren. Wenn Sie bereits einen Microsoft Account mit einer "@ tum.de
<http://tum.de/>  " Adresse haben, sind diese Schritte nicht notwendig.

Die Aktivierung benötigt etwa eine Stunde Zeit. Mit dem offiziellen
Microsoft 365 Account melden Sie sich dann mit Ihrer "@tum.de
<http://tum.de/> " Adresse und Ihrem TUM Account Passwort bei Microsoft
(m365.tum.de <http://m365.tum.de> ) an. Ihre Microsoft 365 Account Details
können Sie unter https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ einsehen. Beachten Sie,
dass die Zuweisung von Lizenzen ggf. weitere Zeit nach der Aktivierung in
Anspruch nimmt und dass Sie die benötigte Software eventuell nicht sofort
sehen können.

Es kann weiterhin kleinere Anpassungen im Betrieb geben.

SAP S4/HANA

Um die Digitalisierung der TUM, insbesondere in der Verwaltung, umfassend
voranzutreiben wurde durch das IT-Management und SVP Braun eine
Ausschreibung zur Implementierung und Betrieb einer S4/HANA Landschaft
gestartet. In diesem Rahmen sollen die aktuell in unserem SAP System
genutzten Module und etablierten Prozesse im Bereich Public Sector
Management, Finanzwesen, Controlling, Liegenschaftsverwaltung,
Personalverwaltung und dem Berichtswesen SAP BW/BO, Rechnungsverarbeitung,
Beschaffung, und Materialwirtschaft beleuchtet und optimiert werden. Zudem
ist es geplant weitere, derzeit noch nicht digitalisierte Arbeitsabläufe,
wie z.B. Personalangelegenheiten und Beschaffung, auf einen modernen und
Stand zu haben und über bedienungsfreundliche digitale Zugänge
bereitzustellen. Die Ausschreibung konnte erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden
und die Firma Scheer hat den Zuschlag erteilt bekommen.

Es folgen noch im ersten Quartal Infoveranstaltungen für alle
TUM-Mitglieder, um eine Übersicht über das Projekt zu bekommen.

TurnItIn

Seit Beginn des Jahres steht eine Campus Lizenz für die
Plagiatserkennungssoftware Turnitin Originality zur Verfügung. Über die
Software Turnitin Originality können Dokumente hinsichtlich der Übernahme
von Textpassagen aus anderen Dokumenten geprüft werden. Vorerst ist diese
nur Mitarbeitenden zugänglich. Weiterführende und aktuelle Informationen zur

Einführungswebinar: Von TurnItIn werden zeitnah zwei Webinare angeboten. Das
erste findet bereits am 17.1. (heute!) statt, der nächste Termin ist der
29.1. Sie entsprechenden Zoom Links werden können Sie ebenfalls auf obiger
Wiki Seite finden. Es ist keine Anmeldung notwendig, die Webinare werden
aufgezeichnet und im Nachhinein zur Verfügung gestellt.

Comsol Multiphysics

Die Multiphysik-Software von Comsol zur Simulation realer Designs,
Komponenten und Prozesse steht ab sofort für eine Pilotphase bis 30.09.2024
in einem umfangreich erweiterten Lizenzumfang campusweit zur Verfügung.

Neben der bisherigen Nutzung als Klassenraumlizenz für Lehrveranstaltungen
und Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten, ist jetzt auch die Nutzung für alle
akademische Forschungsprojekte im Rahmen einer Netzwerklizenz mit 50
gleichzeitigen Nutzern oder als Serverlizenz für Comsolanwendungen mit 300
gleichzeitigen Nutzern möglich. Die Lizenz umfasst sämtliche Module der
Software und ermöglich für alle Nutzer den direkten Zugang zum Support der
Firma Comsol.

Einführungsveranstaltung: Am 30.01.2024 ab 10 Uhr findet Online eine
Einführungsveranstaltung statt, um über die Software zu informieren und das
neue Lizenzpaket vorzustellen. Die Registrierung erfolgt über den Link:

Security Netzwerk Scan mit Greenbone

Seit Anfang des Jahres wurden die Security-Netzwerkscanner grundlegend
überarbeitet und wurden automatisiert neu eingerichtet. Sie scannen jetzt
zusätzlich zu den weltweit erreichbaren Subnetzen auch nur intern aus dem
Wissenschaftsnetz erreichbare Netze, die nicht hinter einer eigenen Firewall
hängen. Auch wird der Scanner ab Ende des Monats Mails mit den
Scanningergebnissen versenden, sobald diese sichtbare Lücken enthalten.

Zugang zu den Scannern ist allen Netzverantwortlichen mit TUM-ID möglich,
die sich mit dieser oder einer LDAP-Gruppe beim LRZ gemeldet haben - sollten
Sie keinen Zugriff auf Ihre Netze in den Scannern haben, korrigieren Sie
bitte Ihre Daten über das LRZ oder, wo das nicht möglich ist, melden Sie
sich bitte bei uns über die it-sicherheit at tum.de

Microsoft 365

We are pleased to announce that we have a valid work agreement for Microsoft

To use Microsoft 365, you must activate the Microsoft account in TUMonline.
If you don't have an account, please log in to TUMonline and select
"Microsoft 365 Account" directly on your business card. You can activate
your "@  <http://tum.de> tum.de" email address as a Microsoft 365 account
there. If you already have a Microsoft account with an "@  <http://tum.de>
tum.de" address, these steps are unnecessary.

The activation takes about an hour. Using the official Microsoft 365
account, log in to Microsoft (m365.tum.de) with your "@ <http://tum.de>
tum.de" address and your TUM account password. You can view your Microsoft
365 account details at  <https://myaccount.microsoft.com/>
https://myaccount.microsoft.com/. Please note that license allocation may
take additional time after activation, and you may not be able to see the
software you need immediately.

SAP S4/HANA

In order to comprehensively advance the digitalization of TUM, especially in
administration, IT Management and SVP Braun launched a tender for the
implementation and operation of an S4/HANA landscape. In this context, the
modules and established processes currently used in our SAP system in the
areas of public sector management, finance, controlling, property
management, HR management and SAP BW/BO reporting, invoice processing,
procurement and materials management are to be examined and optimized. In
addition, it is planned to have other work processes that are currently not
yet digitalized, such as personnel matters and procurement, up to date and
available via user-friendly digital access points. The tender was
successfully completed and the Scheer company was awarded the contract.

Information events will be held for all TUM members in the first quarter to
provide an overview of the project.

TurnItIn

A campus license for the plagiarism detection software Turnitin Originality
has been available since the beginning of the year. The Turnitin Originality
software can be used to check documents for the adoption of text passages
from other documents. Currently, this is only available for employees.

Introductory webinar: TurnItIn will offer two webinars soon (in German). The
first will take place on January 17th. (today!), the next appointment is on
January 29th. You can also find the relevant Zoom links on the Wiki page
above. You don't need to register; the webinars will be recorded and made
available afterwards.

Comsol Multiphysics

Comsol's multiphysics software for simulating real designs, components, and
processes is now available campus-wide for a pilot phase until September 30,
2024, with an extensively expanded license scope.

In addition to its previous use as a classroom license for courses and
bachelor's and master's theses, it can now also be used for all academic
research projects as part of a network license with 50 simultaneous users or
as a server license for Comsol applications with 300 concurrent users. The
license includes all software modules and allows all users direct access to
support from Comsol.

Introductory event: An initial event will take place online on January 30,
2024, from 10 a.m. to provide information about the software and present the

Security Network scanning with Greenbone

Since the beginning of the year, the security network scanners have been
fundamentally revised and set up automatically. In addition to the globally
accessible subnets, you now also scan networks that are only accessible
internally from the science network and that are not behind their own
firewall. From the end of the month, the scanner will also send emails with
the scanning results as soon as they contain visible gaps.

Access to the scanners is available to all network managers with a TUM ID
who have registered with the LRZ with this or an LDAP group. If you do not
have access to your networks in the scanners, please correct your data via
the LRZ, or wherever this is not possible, contact us via
<mailto:it-sicherheit at tum.de> it-sicherheit at tum.de.
