Dear users of LRZ,
The next ANSYS CFD Introduction Short Course (ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Fluent) will take place in the week from
16. - 20. March 2020 at LRZ in Garching near Munich.
The focus of this 5-day course is targeted on students, PhD's and researchers with good knowledge in the fundamentals of fluid mechanics and potentially with some first experience in Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Linux Operating System usage. The course is aimed at a beginner to intermediate knowledge level. Furthermore the course will focus on the introduction to the ANSYS Fluid Dynamics software packages and on the usage of the ANSYS CFD
software in a typical Linux cluster environment for massively parallel computations, i.e. the CoolMUC-2/-3 Linux Clusters and the LRZ flagship SuperMUC-NG.
Interested ANSYS Software Users are asked
to register as early as possible on the corresponding LRZ website:
https://www.lrz.de/services/compute/courses/2020-03-16_hcfd1w19/
The course is open and free for all students and employees from all German Academic Institutions (Universities and Public Research Institutions). The course fee for interested participants from industry
is 1500,- Euro for the full course (5 days). A participation on a per-day basis is unfortunately not possible.
