"Programming the new KNL Cluster at LRZ" & other HPC courses
Dear HPC users, Recently, LRZ has started operation of the new 394 TFlop/s CooLMUC3 Cluster with 64-way Intel Knights Landing (KNL) 7210-F many-core processors and Intel Omnipath interconnect. See https://www.lrz.de/services/compute/linux-cluster/coolmuc3/ for a description of the system. CoolMUC-3 users in particular, but also all HPC users interested in the Intel Knights Landing many-core processor and the Intel Many Integrated Core (MIC) architecture in general, are encouraged to join the course: Programming the new KNL Cluster at LRZ Wednesday, January 24, 2018 09:00 - Thursday, January 25, 2018 17:00 Topics covered include: - The new CoolMUC3 KNL cluster at LRZ - Overview of the Intel MIC architecture - Overview of the Intel MIC programming models - KNL memory modes and cluster modes, MCDRAM - MKL on KNL - Vectorisation and Intel Xeon Phi performance optimisation - Intel tools for KNL More information about the course and the registration can be found online under https://www.lrz.de/services/compute/courses/2018-01-24_hknl1w17/ Please also pass this course announcement to other interested colleagues.
