Dear open science enthusiasts,

The LMU Open Science Center has new spaces available for its Switch to Open Program (SwOP).

📢 We invite groups to express interest by sending an email to Dr Malika Ihle, OSC coordinator and SwOP lead consultant.

This program supports research groups wanting to switch, as a team, to open research practices (e.g. FAIR data management, computationally reproducible workflow, publishing citable and reusable code, data, and articles).

For a period of 3 or 6 months, your group will be provided with tailored training and consultations following a flipped classroom format, ending in the development of an open research practice guide to be used for reference for new projects and as an onboarding document for new team members (see example here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16262261).

Eligibility: LMU research groups

Conditions: After an initial interview, members of selected research groups will need to sign a Memorandum of Understanding specifying their time commitment and responsibilities.

Incentives: Selected groups will have the opportunity to hire a research assistant for any tasks beneficial to the group, for 7h/week for 3 months, paid-for by the OSC.

Timeline: To be considered for a consultation starting early 2026, please register your interest before Nov 20. Later expressions of interest will be considered for later consultations.

Best wishes

Malika
