Dear Open Science enthusiasts

The reproducibilitea journal club is resuming its regular hybrid discussions this semester and welcomes researchers from any career stage and any disciplines to discuss papers and ideas about improving science, reproducibility, and the Open Research movement.

Please sign up to the reproducibilitea mailing list to stay up-to-date with the programming, and receive meeting links / room information to join!

https://lists.lrz.de/mailman/listinfo/reproducibilitea. You can also contact them with any questions: reproducibilitea.munich@gmail.com

Meetings will usually take place every other Fridays 14.30 – 16:00. The first session is:

Welcome to the Open Science Universe

When? Friday, 11th of November 2022, 14:30-16:00
Where? Hybrid: Room 3322 at Leopoldstraße 13 and via Zoom: Meeting ID: 917 8852 1090 / Password: Replicate (https://lmu-munich.zoom.us/j/91788521090?pwd=QmJPeEZLcGtYeGlmeGFnazVoUVFzQT09)

What? Two members of the organising team, Franka Etzel and Laura Goetz will give an introductory talk on Open Science and the replication crisis (approx. 30 minutes). There will then be an open discussion where you can contribute your own thoughts and questions. Finally, there will be time to get to know each other and talk in smaller groups.

This session’s primary goal is to welcome newcomers to these topics - so please circulate to whom it may be relevant! Experts are also welcome to join and make the discussion more interesting!

Best wishes

Malika, on behalf of the ReproducibiliTea Munich team
