Dear all,

I would like to remind you that Fields Medalist Alain Connes (Collège de France, IHES and Ohio State University) will give a set of 3 lectures on "Noncommutative geometry and physics“ next week, March 1-3. The schedule is
  • Lecture 1: Tuesday, March 1, at 4:15 pm - Room A348/349
  • Lecture 2: Wednesday, March 2, at 2:15 pm - Room A348/349
  • Lecture 3: Thursday, March 3, at 10:15 am - Room A348/349
Alain told me that he would cover the spectral approach to the Standard Model coupled to gravity as well as the thermal time hypothesis. Moreover, he might discuss the link with number theory if time permits.

Best regards,
Michael Haack
