Dear users of LRZ, We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming on-site Intel Developer Workshop, taking place on 20. 21. April 2026 at LRZ in Garching near Munich. This workshop introduces participants to Intels modern HPC software ecosystem, with a focus on practical development and performance optimisation using the oneAPI toolchain. On the first day, the workshop provides an overview of the Intel oneAPI software stack and the Intel LLVM compilers (ICX/IFX). The second day focuses on libraries such as oneMKL and on performance analysis using tools like VTune, APS, and Intel Advisor. We encourage our HPC users to participate in this workshop to learn how to use the new OneAPI compilers ICX/IFX, which are now default on LRZ's HPC systems. The workshop will provide guidance for the transition from the legacy compilers ICC/IFORT to ICX/IFX. Dear users of LRZ, We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming SuperMUC-NG AI Hackathon on Intel Data Center GPUs. The aim of this multi-day event is to help users get up and running on the SuperMUC-NG Phase 2 partition<https://doku.lrz.de/hardware-of-supermuc-ng-phase-2-222891050.html>, which features Intel Ponte Vecchio accelerators<https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/232873/intel-data-cent…>. The first in a series of upcoming Hackathons, this edition will focus on user projects in the Machine Learning and Deep Learning domains. To ensure a smooth start, a preparatory online dry-run session will be held in advance on 15.10.2025 to familiarise users with cluster access and navigation.
