PRACE Preparatory Access Call for Tier-0

Preparatory access (PA) is intended for testing and developing codes in
 order to prepare applications for PRACE Tier-0 project access. In
 particular, we would like to draw your attention to the Preparatory
 Access Type C which includes code development with support from PRACE
 experts. Further information is given on the PRACE web page: http://

 The Preparatory Access Call is a rolling call, researchers can apply
 for access all year. There are no closing dates, proposals will be
 reviewed every third month. The next cutoff date is September 2nd,
 2013, 11:00 AM CEST.
 
 The systems available for Preparatory Access are:
 
 CURIE, BULL Bullx cluster (GENCI at CEA, France)
 FERMI, IBM Blue Gene/Q (CINECA, Italy)
 HERMIT, Cray XE6 (GCS at HLRS, Germany)
 JUQUEEN, IBM Blue Gene/Q (GCS at JSC, Germany)
 MareNostrum, IBM System X iDataplex (BSC, Spain)
 SuperMUC, IBM System X iDataplex (GCS at LRZ, Germany)
 
 From the 14th cut-off date (2 September 2013) onwards the hybrid
 partition of MareNostrum is available for PA. At this moment the core
 hours on the CURIE Hybrid partition have been exhausted for 2013. This
 partition will be available again in 2014 (next cut-off date: 3 March
 2014 - 16th cut-off).
 
 LRZ invites all interested scientists, whose projects fit the criteria
 of the PRACE call to submit their projects. The criteria for the PRACE
 calls as well as complete information on the PRACE machines, how to
 apply and on the PRACE peer review process can be found at
