The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) cordially invites you to 
participate in the in the **Open Science Days 2019**.

As was the case at our recent conferences, we would like to put an 
emphasis on one of the numerous areas of Open Science:
The focus topic in 2019 will be **RESEARCH SOFTWARE**.

There will be presentations about practical examples of software 
development, usage and dissemination, as well as platforms supporting 
this practice. We would like to take a look at the reality in day-to-day 
research, e.g. regarding software citation and reproducibility of 
research findings. How important is free accessibility of the software 
(Openness)? Which are the major problems regarding the usage of software 
in academic life?

The event will take place at the Harnack House in **Berlin** and is 
going to extend over one and a half days (**February 05/06**).
It is directed at researchers and specialists from inside and especially 
from outside the Max Planck Society who are interested in an 
interdisciplinary communication about Open Science.

The conference language will be English. The participation fee is 100 
€ and the number of participants is limited to 70 persons.
