there is no <scope> element in TEI P4 at least. We wouldn't stick to the TEI with that. As far as I remember, there is a <locus> element in MASTER which probably will be intregrated into the next TEI version. <locus> indicates certain parts or pages in a manuscript. still working on the CEI proposal I see that the TEI has an element <biblScope> to indicate a range of page numbers. That is a concept comparable to the <location>-element we discussed for citing parts of a manuscript or a book. To keep our element-list close to the TEI I would suggest to change the name of <location> to <scope>. I would be happy, if the TEI could introduce such an element with wider use. :-)
