Hacky Hours: Code Documentation May 27 - Peer code review June 24
Dear reproducible workflow enthusiasts! We have two upcoming Hacky Hours which take place in person at Wikipedia Munich, Angertorstraße 3: * Monday May 27, 16:30-18:00: "Code documentation" In this session, we will discuss the differences between code commenting and documenting and exchange tips on best practices on code documentation! Possible resources to prepare your session's hack: * How to write good READMEs<https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-a...> to tell others why your code repository is useful and what they can do with it * How to write good Wikis<https://docs.github.com/en/communities/documenting-your-project-with-wikis/a...> so that others can use and contribute to your project * Monday June 24, 16:30-18:00 "Peer code review" with a guest, Vera Karlbauer, from the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry Code Club In this session, Vera Karlbauer will walk us through an example of how to review the code of a colleague. We will then discuss best practices surrounding code review and the possibility of creating a code review network in Munich.
