On the other hand, the very formulation, testing and justifying of scientific theories and their laws presupposes human free will. Two post-doctoral fellowships in philosophy of science are opening in the Department of Mathematics at the Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), as part of a project on “Idealization and Uncertainty in Scientific Models”. * One position (24 months) focuses on mathematical limits and statistical physics.
