Dear OSC members, please see below for the workshop on computational reproducibility and scientific computing by the Munich Center for Machine Learning<https://mcml.ai/> from 5-9th of October 2026. See below for more details! Best, Sarah -------------------------------------- The MCML is once again organizing a five-day workshop on computational reproducibility and scientific computing. This year's workshop adds a focus on agentic AI and coding agents. Details of the workshop Who: The primary target group is junior MCML PhD students, but the workshop is open to all researchers and students (Max. 60 participants; see the prerequisites on the homepage) When: Mo–Fr, October 5–9, 2026 If organizationally feasible, we will try to enable participation on a per-day basis. Where: Munich, in person, Location: Richard-Wagner-Straße 10, 80333 Munich, Room: D 105 What: Topics include computational reproducibility, agentic AI and coding agents, HPC, packaging, and CI/CD. You can find more information about the workshop, the prerequisites, and the registration process on the workshop website: https://sites.google.com/view/mcml-ws-repro-compute/2026 We are currently restructuring the program from the previous two editions of the workshop to account for the rapid developments in agentic AI and coding agents. These tools can increasingly automate parts of scientific programming and the creation of reproducible research artifacts. At the same time, they make topics such as verification, testing, dependency management, isolated execution environments, and the safe use of automated tools even more important. During the first three days, we will provide a condensed introduction to core topics such as reproducible manuscripts, high-performance computing (HPC), workflow management, containers, testing, packaging, and CI/CD. The final two days will focus on practical tutorials using coding agents for scientific computing and reproducible research workflows.
