Wir haben aus unbestätigter Quelle erfahren, dass für heute Nachmittag eine weitere Stromabschaltung geplant ist. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, heute früh zwischen 7:08 Uhr und 8:01 Uhr und wieder aktuell bestehend seit 8:56 Uhr gab/gibt es eine uns nicht angekündigte Stromabschaltung in Gebäuden des Campus Weihenstephan, in denen auch zentrale Infrastruktur des MWN betrieben wird. Dadurch sind zur Zeit folgende Gebäude nicht versorgt. Teilweise Ausfall WLAN Innenstadt

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, man soll ja bekanntlich nicht den Tag vor dem Abend loben. Wir haben, nachdem die Störungen in den vergangenen Wochen nicht mehr aufgetreten sind und die Migration dringend durchgeführt werden muss heute früh wie angekündigt alle Accesspoints im TUM-Stammgelände auf die neue Software migriert. Leider sind alle Controller dieses Clusters jetzt kurz hintereinander abgestürzt und führen gerade zu einem vollständigen Ausfall in diesem Bereich. Einer der beiden Conttroller müsste in den nächsten Minuten wieder da sein, der zweite Controller generiert gerade noch Debugging-Informationen und wird dann ebenfalls gebootet. Wir werden den Case beim Hersteller nochmal eskalieren. Bitte entschuldigen Sie die Störung.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, die folgenden Wartungsarbeit findet außerhalb der normalen Wartungszeiten statt, da das Upgrade durch das zentrale Management gestaffelt über mehrere Stunden ausgerollt wird. Ein Beginn zu den normalen Netzwartungszeiten würde daher bis in die Mittagsstunden dauern. Although it is a traditional cache-based multicore processor, its peak performance and memory bandwidth rival accelerator devices. Generating efficient code for such a new architecture requires a good understanding of its performance features. Using these features, the Erlangen Regional Computing Center (RRZE) team will detail how they construct the Execution-Cache-Memory (ECM) performance model for the A64FX processor in the FX700 supercomputer and validate it using streaming loops. They will describe how the machine model points to peculiarities in the microarchitecture to keep in mind when optimizing applications, and how, applying the ECM model to sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SpMV), they motivate why the CRS matrix storage format is inappropriate and how the SELL-C-sigma format can achieve bandwidth saturation for SpMV. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Wann : Dienstag, 27.10.2020 ab 18 Uhr Wo : G* (LMU Stammgelände) S* (LMU östlich Ludwigstr.) N* (Tierärztliche Fakultät und Nano-Institut Schwabing) D* (LMU Theresienstr. 37-41) einige kleinere Standorte Was : Wir haben eine neue Software erhalten, die die Störungsursache für die Crashes weiter eingrenzen und eventuell auch beheben soll. Diese soll heute abend eingespielt werden. Das Update startet um 18 Uhr und läuft automatisch durch. Jeder Accesspoint wird dabei mindestens einmal neu gestartet. Die Controller staffeln die Reboots automatisch so, dass möglichst wenige Beeinträchtigungen auftreten und nebeneinander liegende Accesspoints zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten aktualisiert werden. Wir haben aber keinen Einfluss auf die Reihenfolge oder die genauen Zeiten.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Wann : Mittwoch, 9.9.2020 ab 18 Uhr Wo : G* (LMU Stammgelände) S* (LMU östlich Ludwigstr.) N* (Tierärztliche Fakultät und Nano-Institut Schwabing) D* (LMU Theresienstr. 37-41) einige kleinere Standorte Was : Um einem seit einigen Wochen auftretenden Stabilitätsproblem an einem WLAN-Controllercluster in der Innenstadt auf den Grund zu gehen müssen wir kurzfristig eine vom Hersteller bereitgestellte Debug-Software einspielen. Das Update startet um 18 Uhr und läuft automatisch durch. Jeder Accesspoint wird dabei mindestens einmal neu gestartet. Die Controller staffeln die Reboots automatisch so, dass möglichst wenige Beeinträchtigungen auftreten und nebeneinander liegende Accesspoints zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten aktualisiert werden. Wir haben aber keinen Einfluss auf die Reihenfolge oder die genauen Zeiten.
