Dear users of LRZ, there are still places available for the new online workshop Intel OneAPI Training co-organised by <https://www.lrz.de/> LRZ and <https://www.intel.de/> Intel for <https://eurocc-gcs.de/en/> EuroCC@GCS, the German National Competence Centre for High-Performance Computing. This 3 half-days online workshop will teach the participants about the new and expanded features of the Intel oneAPI Toolkits. This advanced C++ online training is a course on object-oriented (OO) software design with the C++ programming language. The focus of the training are the essential OO and C++ software development principles, concepts, idioms, and best practices, which enable programmers to create professional, high-quality code. The course will not address special areas and applications of C++, such as for instance Template Meta Programming (TMP), or the quirks and curiosities of the C++ language. Dringendes Software-Update an den WLAN-Komponenten HEUTE

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, aufgrund einer kritischen Sicherheitslücke muss die Aruba WLAN-Infrastruktur des Münchner Wissenschaftsnetzes umgehend aktualisiert werden. Dieses Update findet heute abend, 28.9.2022, ab 18 Uhr statt. Alle Accesspoints fallen gestaffelt mindestens einmal für etwa fünf Minuten aus. Eine Gesamtdauer oder genauere Zeitpunkte sind nicht absehbar, da der Ablauf durch die WLAN-Controller selbst gesteuert wird. Wir gehen davon aus, dass das Update bis morgen früh abgeschlossen ist.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, wie bereits mehrfach angekündigt endete der offizielle Betrieb der alten Cisco AnyConnect-VPN Lösung und damit auch die Unterstützung des IPsec-VPNs am 30.06.2022. Die dazugehörige Hardware wird am kommenden Mittwoch, dem 03.08.2022, abgeschaltet. Ebenfalls zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird der nie produktiv angebotene OpenVPN-Testbetrieb abgeschaltet. Bitte steigen Sie auf eduVPN um, wenn Sie weiterhin den VPN-Zugang nutzen wollen. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, seit 9:27 Uhr sind die Etagenverteiler im EG - 4. OG des Gebäudes 2941, Georg-Brauchle-Ring 60-62 ausgefallen. Aufgrund des gleichzeitigen Ausfalls mehrerer Etagen gehen wir von einer Störung der Stromversorgung aus. Wir prüfen die Situation und melden uns, wenn neue Informationen vorliegen.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Folgende Wartungsarbeiten werden am Dienstag, dem 12.07.2022 ausgeführt Wo : LMU, Theresienstr. 39, Block B, 2. OG Was : Austausch eines alten Switches. Mit längeren Unterbrechungen ist zu rechnen. Wann : 12.07.2022, zwischen 07:30 – 12:00 Uhr Wo : LMU, Oettingenstr. 67, Serverraum, L U120, Rack A05+A07 Was : Austausch zweier Serverswitches (SWT4-KOZ und SWT5-KOZ). Länger Unterbrechung weil der Switche erst ausgebaut werden muss bevor der neue eingebaut werden.
