Changes to this message: User operation suspended again Status update (March 13, 17:00) Unfortunately the data corruption problem has recurred. We have again suspended user operation. Status update (March 13, 16:15) IBM in collaboration with DDN and Mellanox has isolated and repaired two technical issues. One of these issues was located in the I/O subsystem and has caused data corruption which was noticed by GPFS but could not be automatically repaired, leading to unavailability of the file system. It is believed that the scope of this data corruption was limited to a single file, which was identified and removed from the GPFS file system. 1.Routertausch csr1-kb1 Zwischen 7:30 Uhr und ca. 9:00 Uhr wird der Router csr1-kb1 durch ein neues Geraet der Plattform Cisco Nexus 7000 ausgetauscht. Waehrend der Arbeiten wird es fuer die versorgten Gebaeude zu einigen Minuten Ausfall kommen. Betroffen sind die folgenden Areale: TUM Stamm- und Nordgelaende Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften Bayerische Staatsbibliothek TUM Barer Strasse 21 LMU Tiermedizin Innenstadt und Oberschleissheim LMU Konradstrasse LMU Innenstadtkliniken LMU Menzinger Strasse TUM Schragenhofstrasse LMU Maria-Theresia-Strasse Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater LMU Katharina-von-Bora-Strasse LMU Schoenfeldstr. 13 Hochschule fuer Philosophie Max-Planck-Gesellschaft Hauptverwaltung Historisches Kolleg Studentenwohnheime Chiemgaustrasse, Oberschleissheim. Arcisstrasse, Gabelsberger Strasse, Richard-Wagner-Strasse, Kaulbachstrasse, Tuerkenstrasse, Jakob-Balde-Haus, Paulinum 2. Areale Garching, Grosshadern, Hochschule Muenchen Auf den bereits getauschten Routern csr2-kw5, csr1-kic und csr1-kra muss nochmals eine kleine Umkonfiguration vorgenommen werden. Fuer alle darueber laufenden Verbindungen wird es dadurch zwischen 7:30 Uhr und 9:00 Uhr zu ca. 10 Sekunden Ausfall kommen. 3. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Plasmaphysik Garching Zwischen 8:00 Uhr und 8:30 Uhr kommt es durch den Reboot des Switches swz1-kai zu einigen Minuten Ausfall der Anbindung an das MWN. 4. Hochschule Weihenstephan-Triesdorf Standort Zurnhausen Durch eine Umkonfiguration der VLANs wird es zwischen 9:15 Uhr und 9:00 Uhr zu Unterbrechungen kommen. Zur Behebung bzw. Vorbeugung eines von IBM als sehr kritisch erachteten Softwareproblems fuehren wir am Montag, den 11.03.2013 ein Update der TSM Server Software durch. Dadurch kommt es in der Zeit zwischen 07:00 und 17:00 Uhr zu einer etwa 1-stuendigen Unterbrechung bei den Tapemounts sowie zu einer etwa 1-stuendigen Betriebsunterbrechung bei jedem einzelnen TSM Server. Betroffen sind alle vom LRZ betriebenen TSM Server, also auch die SuperMUC, Linuxcluster und Grid Archive. On 2013-03-11 we perform a TSM software update from 07:00 to 17:00 o'clock. In this time you will encounter a disruption of tape mounts which last for about one hour as well as an one hour downtime of each individual TSM server instance.
